District Leadership

Under the direction of the School Board, the Superintendent of Schools oversees the daily operations and the long-range strategic planning of the school district, working directly with school leaders, district staff, and the school board in order to ensure: the advancement of the district vision and strategic framework; fiscal responsibility, including preparation and adoption of annual budget; development and implementation of policy; district management of day-to-day operations and decisions; quality stakeholder communication and public relations; and the development of student-focused performance goals.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Human Resources responsibilities are to plan, organize, and direct the staffing and human capital functions for all employees in the District, in order to ensure that employees are managed by personnel policies, regulations, practices and contract provisions which are fairly and justly administered and that the best qualified candidates are recruited, selected and assigned to appropriate positions. To plan, organize and direct the negotiations of collective bargaining agreements with employee representatives, provide direction to District administrators on the interpretation and administration of negotiated agreements, supervise the wage and salary administration activities of the District and the administration of employee benefit and risk management programs. Provides managerial support in the overall operation of the Human Resources area.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Education responsibilities are to serve as a key instructional leader for the district; provide leadership and accountability for the District’s academic services as well as academic performance of all schools; drive the educational performance of the district, provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the District’s curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement initiatives, oversee the professional development for all teachers, principals, and vice principals, and supervise the operational management of assigned Education Services Departments and Offices.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Student Services responsibilities are to plan, organize and direct Special Education programs and Student Services programs, including Social-Emotional Supports; assists in the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of special education and Student Services related operational policies and regulations; maintains student files and records; assures compliance with applicable district rules and policies, and State and Federal laws, IDEA, codes and regulations; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the fiscal management of Central Point School District 6. This responsibility necessitates the oversight of the District's budget and overall financial health.

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Facilities & Operations is responsibile for overseeing facilities operations, managing facilities budgets, directing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies, managing risk, managing contractors, overseeing security, and conducting site inspections

The District Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for  ensuring that facility and grounds work goals are met; services are provided in an efficient and effective manner, ensures that staff utilizes appropriate procedures and safe practices, ensures that jobs are completed efficiently and within regulatory guidelines and project deadlines, ensures optimal utilization of personnel and other resources.

The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Facilities & Operations. The Maintenance Supervisor has administrative leadership and oversight of:

The Instructional Technology Manager is responsible for providing leadership, general management and technical assistance to the Central Point School District and is responsible for maintaining, improving and ensuring that the technology supports the educational and communication needs of the staff and students while staying within established budgetary limits.

The Food and Nutrition Services Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, overseeing, managing and reviewing all operational and administrative elements of the district’s school nutrition programs. The position is responsible for monitoring nutrition services staff and operations at school sites to ensure compliance with federal and state law in addition to district policy and procedures.

This position reports to the Director of Facilities & Operations and supervises the work of food service employees at various district work sites.
