Diversity & Equity Advisory Committee

The Diversity & Equity Advisory Committee  (DEC) was established by the Superintendent of Central Point Schools. This committee shall serve in an advisory role to make recommendations to the Superintendent related to Strategic Planning, School Improvement, Board Policies, including the Every Student Belongs Policy (ACB) and the District Equity Policy (JBB) and other corresponding practices.

Educational Equity Advisory Committees

  • Advising the school board and superintendent on the educational equity impacts of policy decisions.
  • Informing the school board and superintendent of the district-wide climate and experiences of underserved student groups and advising on how best to support.
  • Advising on experiences that either positively or negatively impact underrepresented students and how to best support or replicate within the district.
