Honors Night is May 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the East Gym. This special evening recognizes and rewards students of all grade levels in areas of academics, citizenship and leadership. Students to be honored will receive invitations to take home on Friday, May 14.

Scenic students will place flags on graves at the Veterans Cemetery in Eagle Point on Friday, May 28. Scenic students do this annual community service act to help the VA cemetery prepare for Memorial Day. Students who participate are Natural Helpers, Honor Society and any student with a family member buried in the VA cemetery. Permission slips may be picked up in the main office beginning May 18, and must be returned by May 27.

The Spring Concert is Thursday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the East Gym and all Scenic music students will participate.

June 11 is the eighth grade dance, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. This event is for Scenic eighth grade students only. Clothing is to be nice, dressy……….it is not necessary to wear semi-formal or formal. The dress code is slightly relaxed…….spaghetti straps are okay; we discourage plunging necklines. Tickets are $5.00 per student and pictures will be taken at $1.00 each. The dance is chaperoned by Scenic staff members and organized and planned by Honor Society members.

Yearbooks will be given to students on June 16 at the end of the day. Students with early check-out dates may have a parent pick up their yearbook anytime after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16. Students on half-day schedules may pick up their yearbooks in the main office on their way home that day.

Thursday, June 17, is the last day of school and during the morning there will be a recognition ceremony for eighth grade students. It is planned for 9:45 in the East Gym. Eighth grade students will receive a certificate of completion. Parents are welcome to attend. Following this ceremony, students will view the video yearbook and then enjoy Campus Day activities. Dismissal will be two hours early on this day.

Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered their time to make these events possible for Scenic students!!

Have a great summer.
