Roars from Mr. Rambo
It is great to have students and teachers back in the building! I can speak for the entire Jewett staff when I say that we are excited for the upcoming year. This year we are going to continue to focus on offering students a variety of experiences that foster creativity, problem solving and exploration of their world. Our teachers will be collaborating to develop these activities throughout the year. Please talk to your students at home about what is happening at school and give teachers feedback about what your students are most excited about.
I feel very privileged to be the principal of such a great school. I have seen firsthand all that can be accomplished when teachers, parents and community members work together. We appreciate your support and will do our best to create an engaging learning environment for your student. Please feel free to call or set a meeting with me if there is anything we can do to better serve your student.
In order to increase student safety, parents who will be picking up their students after school need to remain in the designated pick up areas. These areas are at the front of the school or under the covered area. Parents should not wait outside classrooms to pick up their student. Students should use the crosswalk at the front of the school to approach their parents vehicle. Students should not cut across the parking lot at any other area.
- Wednesdays are early release days!! Students will be dismissed at 1:20/1:25pm
- Please make sure that all backpacks and coats are labeled with the student’s name. Thanks!
Updates regarding weather/school closures can be found on the District 6 website (district6.org), Facebook page and local stations.
