A Message from Mr. Rambo

No Tardy Dance Party!

Regular attendance is one of the most important pieces of a successful education.  Research clearly shows that students who are at school on time every day demonstrate significantly higher achievement.  Even if a student is only 10 minutes late to class, they will miss important information for the day.

In an effort to get all students here on time, we will have our first ever “No Tardy Dance Party” on Thursday, December 18th.  This will be for all students who are at school on time every day from December 1st through December 18th.  We will have one session for kindergartners through second grades and another session for third through fifth grades.  These sessions will be approximately 15 minutes and will be a fun way to reward those students who were here ready to learn every day.

If you are struggling with your student’s attendance in any way, please contact the classroom teacher to build a plan for establishing a regular attendance routine.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and we are looking forward to three solid academic weeks until Winter Break.

 Mr. Rambo

Volunteer Application Information

All adults who would like to volunteer in a classroom or chaperone a field trip must have a District 6 volunteer application turned in and approved prior to helping with students.  All applications must be turned in at least one week prior to the event, as it takes a week to get the application processed.

What’s New!!

AUTOMATED ATTENDANCE CALLING SYSTEM

On December 1st, we will implement a new automated attendance calling system.  As per state law, we are required to notify the parent/guardian of a student who is marked absent.  These calls will only be made to parents who have not notified the school of a student’s absence by 8:30 am.  This new system does not excuse parents from communicating with the school when their student is absent.  We appreciate your support in helping us ensure all of our students are safe.
