The next retrieval class is offered October 6th- 30th every day from 3:30-5:30. Attendance is mandatory so keep that in mind when you ask your folks to pay the $75!  See Mr. Taylor for the enrollment paperwork and more information.

NEW OSAA ATHLETIC ELIGIBILTY

Attention: Athletes and/or participants that are governed by an OSAA Activity

OSAA Eligibility Requirements for 2009/2010

· Athletes will need to continue to be enrolled in and attending the minimum number of classes (5 classes for schools 1,3,4. 4 classes for school 2) during the season (same as years past).

· Athletes will need to have earned enough credits in their previous grading period as well (5 in schools 1,3, 4 and 4 in school 2) Or if enrolled in various grading periods, the longest grading period will be used for determining eligibility.(same as years past).

· Athletes will also have to have earned minimum numbers of credits prior to each year they advance in school. This is OSAA’s attempt to make sure student/athletes are making progress towards graduation. Athletes must have earned a minimum of 8 credits prior to grade 10, 19 credits prior to grade 11, and 32 credits prior to grade 12. If an athlete has not earned the minimum number of credits prior to the school year they will lose their eligibility for the entire year (this is a new requirement)

Tyerman Posts 2009 National Marks

Congratulations to senior CANS student, Kayleigh Tyerman! Tyerman currently holds the fastest times in the nation for the 2009 outdoor track season in the 1500 and 3000. Tyerman has run the 1500 in a school record time of 4:36.36 and the 3000 in a school record time of 10:05.12 so far this season.   She has committed to Cal Poly as a student athlete next fall. Good job,  Kayleigh!
